Salty Knots

I’m Rob Hetzel, the founder and designer of Salty Knots Wood Creations. I come from a long line of craftsmen including my grandfather, father and brothers, leading me to become a master carpenter with an artistic eye. Being a south Florida native, I have spent my life surfing, diving, boating, and simply walking along the beach. These experiences inspired a fascination for the way the ebb and flow of waves shape the shoreline. Salty Knots has given me an outlet to craft  functional art using the finest woods and pigments. Each piece is unique and carries the legacy of my family and my love of the beach.
